Our Staff at Seaham Nursery

The biggest asset of Buttercup Nurseries is the commitment and enthusiasm of its staff team. Staff have an excellent knowledge of children as individuals and work in partnership with parents to best meet their needs. Staff skills and experience are regularly updated through training.  The empathy staff offer to the children in their care is further developed by our Key worker system, where each child and family has their own allocated member of staff.

  Keyperson

At  all Buttercup Nurseries we have special members of staff called Keypersons who will spend lots of time with your child. They will be able to tell you all about what your child has been learning. They will always be there for you to talk to and answer any questions about your child's progress.

Within our rooms we have Senior Staff who have specific lead roles that further support our Nursery Nurses and Assistants to ensure the day to day care and needs of your children are fulfilled. Janice Lamb is senior in our Red room with Gabrielle Rogers senior in Yellow room, both have a keen eye for quality and will be very happy to answer any questions you may have. Gillian Upperton, as senior practitioner leads both red and blue room but also supports our early years practice across the nursery setting.

Margaret, our qualified teacher has gathered vast experience of working with children in her time as a teacher. Here at Seaham she works very closely with all rooms supporting staff and developing the planning and assessment of all children.
